En-route to Eskdale (via the Pub)
An Autumn wander in Eskdale and surroundings. We encountered mucky weather en route to the Old Man of Coniston but enjoyed some high altitude walking and good views when the weather cleared.
Or as in fact actually happened, we set off to climb the Old Man, overshot and ended up on Dow Crag by mistake.
This is not to say that our navigation skills are suspect, but it was a pretty murky day and we did get to see the Old Man from Dow Crag rather than actually being on it.
Poor weather makes for poor photographs, but here’s a selection of them anyway.
