The first away wander for Wayne’s Wanderers in 2015 saw us heading to Conwy in North Wales for a weekend of sun, wind and rain, fortunately, not all at the same time.
On the Saturday, Tryfan was suggested for the walk but instead we opted to take a low level route around Conwy and environs due to extremely high winds.
You can view the route for the Saturday walk here.
Both evenings saw us heading into Conwy in search of suitable watering holes, unfortunately Conwy came up a bit short and after some wandering around on Friday we finally ended up at The Liverpool Arms on the waterfront. After some similar wandering around on Saturday (The Liverpool Arms being full) we ended up in a pub which (almost) inevitably became known as The Meat Shovel (actually The Malt Loaf, don’t ask), the best of which can be said is that it served beer, but as that’s what we were looking for, it did the trick.
On Sunday we headed into a very wet Llandudno for a cafe stop and a stroll on the pier before heading home.
In a shameless act of self promotion, I’m also including a few snaps from my non-WW walk the day before.
