A weekend in the Peak District for the Summer Wander of 2010 – this time to Gradbach hostel in the Staffordshire Moorlands. A great hostel – very out of the way and with good walking nearby.
The Saturday walk involved a descent into the depths of Lud’s Church followed by a walk along the Roaches and was probably one of the largest turnouts we’ve had in recent years. On Saturday evening we spent the night at the hostel (no nearby pubs) and, as I recall, drank far too much vintage single malt whisky. Or was that the Friday night…
