Boggle Hole is one of those somewhat inaccessible Youth Hostels – you park your car at the top of the road and then have to lug your bags all the way down to the hostel (and then back up again at the end of the weekend). It also has the distinct disadvantage of being some distance from the nearest pub. None of this, however, can deter a determined Wanderer.
Saturday’s walk consisted of a trek along the coast towards Whitby and then back again via a local bus service. If this sounds like a bit of a cheat, then all I can say is that the coast in one direction looks much the same as the coast in the other and we weren’t prepared to do it again 🙂
Friday or Saturday evening, can’t remember which, possibly both, found us strolling over the hills to the Bay Hotel at Robin Hood’s Bay for an evening of local ale and mayhem.
We haven’t been back since, but it could be time to think about a return trip.
