Carol on Striding Edge

Autumn 1998 and back to Grasmere for another weekend at Thorney How.

From the photographs it looks as though we climbed Helvellyn with some scrambling on Striding Edge.

Clearly Helvellyn is one of our favourite mountains as I think we’ve now climbed it three times (as of Autumn 2015).

I’m not sure exactly what Jon is up to in the last picture, but it probably made sense at the time :-).
