There’s not much info to hand about this weekend other than it being the second ever Wander and also the second time back at Thorney How in Grasmere, this time for the full weekend stay.
Staying at Thorney How in the Autumn was a pattern which persisted until Autumn 2000 when we first went to High Close. This then lasted for another four years until we got fed up with the walk down to the pub and the following year moved down the road to stay in Elterwater itself. We’ve had a few trips back to Thorney How since but not so many as in the early years.
